Registration Information

 Player Registration Requirements

Registration for the RSSL opens after the AGM held in mid-August. A team can register a player at any point during the season provided the player has NOT registered with another BC Soccer affiliated team for the same season (if a player has been registered on another team, you must follow the Transfer process).

All players on a team must be registered.

To register with a team the following documentation must be provided to complete the registration process:

  • Completed Registration Form
  • Passport-style Photo (for ID card)
  • Copy of legal Picture ID (Driver’s Licence, Passport)
  • Player Registration Fee
  • Signed Parental Liability Acknowledgement form (if under 18 years)

Team Registration Requirements

All teams are required to express their intention to return for the upcoming season in July.  New team applications are accepted until June 30th (see New Team Application under Registrar for more information).  Each team is required to submit the following documentation prior to the start of the season.

Team Allocation Field Roster: The City of Richmond requires 60% of players registered on a team to have a Richmond address (home or work). Each team is required to complete the Team Allocation Field Roster and submit it to the League at the beginning of each season.

Code of Conduct: The City of Richmond requires each team to complete a Code of Conduct form confirming teams will follow the City’s conduct policies for field use. Please complete and submit the form to the League at the beginning of each season

Team Staff Affiliation: BCSA requires the Team Affiliation form to be completed by each team and submitted to the League at the beginning of each season.

You can find these forms online under Forms in the Registrar section of this website.

Player Registration Process

Players register to play using an online registration process. The process is outlined below:

  1. Individual players are required to create a member profile on our site. This creates an account for the member.
  2. Members login and click "Register with Team" button.  Select the team you want to register with.  Complete the online form.
  3. Member attaches 2 documents: 1) Picture for ID card; and 2) Copy of Legal ID (Driver’s Licence, Passport, etc.).  Submit.
  4. Registration flows to the team manager for approval. Manager checks registration, picture ID and ensures it is legible and correct, then approves or rejects the registration.
  5. Registration flows to the Registrar for processing and notifies the manager when complete.
  6. Manager provides player registration fee when picking up the ID card.
